It is commercially available mainly as nickel sulfate hexahydrate, which forms green crystals, is readily soluble in water, and produces an acidic aqueous solution. Main Applications

Nickel sulfate has a wide range of applications, primarily in new energy batteries and surface treatment:

New energy batteries: It is the primary nickel source in the precursor for the cathode materials of ternary lithium batteries (NMC/NCA), and one of the key raw materials for power batteries.

Electroplating industry: It is the primary nickel salt used in nickel electroplating and electroless nickel plating. It supplies nickel ions to provide plated components with excellent corrosion resistance and decorative properties.

Catalysts: Used as a catalyst in applications such as hydrogenation of oils and fats and pharmaceutical production (e.g., vitamin C production).

Other industrial applications: Used to produce other nickel salts (such as nickel carbonate and nickel oxide), as a mordant in the dyeing and printing industry, and as a metal colorant.

Packaging and Storage

Packaging: 25 kg/bag (plastic-lined woven bag) or ton-bag packaging as required by the customer.

Storage: Store in a cool, well-ventilated warehouse. Avoid contact with strong oxidizing agents and strong acids. Protect from moisture and direct sunlight.
